Albuhaiti calls for forming a Yemeni committee to receive compensation from Arab Coalition

Republican Yemen
Yemeni political commentator Ali Albukhaiti has welcomed any political reconciliation between the Iran-backed Houthi militia and Saudi Arabia.
Albukhaiti, however, warned of handing over, if a peace agreement is reached, compensation money to the Houthis or the Yemeni government, suggesting the formation of an independent Yemeni committee, under international supervision, whose mission is to “deliver compensation from the countries participating in Decisive Storm, specifically Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain, and to disburse it to the families of the victims and the wounded, as well as to rebuild what was destroyed by the war.”
Recently, the Houthi militia and Saudi Arabia have made a remarkable rapprochement through Omani mediation as the international community pushes for an end to the eight-year conflict that triggered the world’s worst humanitarian crisis in recent history.
