Govt forces recapture Rahaba district south Marib

Government forces backed by tribesmen reclaimed Wednesday Rahaba district south Marib province, local sources said.

Circulated footage on social media showed government troops and tribesmen loyal to the government securing the center of Rahaba district, south province of Marib which has been witnessing heavy fighting between government forces and Houthi militia since early February.

Meanwhile, the Iran-backed Houthi militia announced that they have regained full control of Al-Zaher district, which they lost two weeks ago to government forces west of Yemen’s central province of Al-Bayda.

The fighting between the Houthi insurgents and government forces in the provinces Al-Bayda, Al-Jawf, and Marib has reportedly killed over 460 fighters on both sides since the beginning of July.
