Over 2000 mines removed during the 1st week of July, says Masam

Mine-disposal teams of Masam, the Saudi Project for Mine Clearance in Yemen, managed to removed 2008 mines and explosive devices laid by the Iran-aligned Houthis during the 1st week of July, bringing the total of mines removed by the project since it started its mission in mid-2018 to 259.984.

According to the project, about 24 square kilometers have been cleared the past week in different liberated areas in Yemen.

Since the war broke out in Yemen, thousands of civilians have fallen victim to Houthi-laid mines as the rebels keep on planting more random, unmarked mines in large swaths of the war-ravaged country.
