One worker was killed and three others wounded on Sunday in an artillery shelling carried out by Houthis on an industrial complex south of the port city of Hudaydah, local sources said.
According to the sources, Ibraheem Yahya Zokhaim was killed and three others sustained critical injuries when Thabet Brothers Industrial Complex was hit by artillery shelling launched by the Iran-backed Houthis.
The UN Mission to support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA) said the attack shows the devastating impact of the six-year conflict on civilians.
“Reported renewed civilian casualties at the Thabet Brothers Industrial Complex in Hudaydah highlight once again the disastrous impact of the conflict on civilians, in this instance one worker died and another three were injured following the shelling of the complex yesterday,” UNMHA said in a tweet.
“UNMHA sends condolences to the family of the deceased and wishes the injured a full recovery. Civilians should at all times be protected from the consequences of warfare.”
