Woman Loses Her Leg to a Houthi-laid Landmine

Republican Yemen
A woman named Ne’ma Ali Ahmed was seriously injured on Monday in an explosion of a landmine mine in Taiz province.
According to local sources, the landmine, laid by Houthi militia, went off while she was shepherding in Jabal Habshi district. She was moved to a nearby hospital where she had her right leg amputated.
This comes one week after three men from the same district were wounded, one of them lost his leg, in a mine explosion.
The Iran-backed Houthi rebels are reported to have planted over a million landmines in large swaths of the war-torn country. These mines have killed, wounded or maimed thousands of unsuspected civilians, according to international reports.
