Football coach and his son killed, other junior players wounded in Houthi shelling in Taiz

The Iran-backed Houthi militia targeted today Al Ahli Club, east of the besieged city of Taiz, with artillery shells, leaving a football coach and his son dead and other junior players wounded.

Coach Nasser Al Yarimi and his 10-year-old son were killed in the club’s pitch and other two juniors were wounded when the Houthi militia targeted the club today morning with artillery shelling, local sources said.

For the past two weeks, Houthi rebels have intensified their attacks against the five-year-besieged city of Taiz, leaving scores of civilians dead or wounded.
