Two civilians were killed and another two wounded in indiscriminate shelling launched by the Iran-aligned Houthi insurgents on populated areas south the key port city of Hodeidah.

Abdullah Suleiman Khadem, 40, and another resident were killed in a mortar shell launched by Houthis in Hays district, south of Hodeida, local sources said.

According to the sources, locals managed to move Abdullah Suleiman to Al Khokha hospital, but the victim died on the way, while they failed to get to the other victim out of fears of Houthis snipers who shoot at sight.

Hours prior to the shelling, a Houthi sniper gunned down a civilian named Mohammed Morshed Sandi, in his 40s, while he was near the town’s market.
