A man called Nasser Salem Musa’ed Almansouri died of his wounds on Friday after almost two years of sustaining serious injuries due to a landmine explosion that destroyed his pickup truck in Shabwa province, located in eastern Yemen, local sources said.

In mid-2018, the man fell victim to a landmine that had been laid by Houthis, before their withdrawal, in Osailan district, west of Shabwa governate, and was then taken to a hospital in Marib province where he passed away today, Yemen Press reported.

The Iran-backed Houthi rebels have laid over a million mines across Yemen. Such mines have claimed hundreds of lives and left thousands of innocent people maimed.
