The Iran-backed Houthi insurgents launched Wednesday a ballistic missile on a residential area in Marib province, killing at least one woman and wounding several others.
Local sources said the missile hit Al Rawdah neighborhood, a populated area full of residents and displaced people, resulting in civilian casualties.
So far the missile attack has resulted in the death of one woman and the injuries of scores of civilians, some of them with critical injuries, a medical source spoke on condition of anonymity.
The Houthi insurgents have intensified their missile attacks on the province of Marib for the past three weeks.
Last month, a missile launched by Iran-allied Houthis hit a military training base in the northern province of Marib, killing over 110 military personnel and wounding many others.
A few days later, the militia struck the house of Sheikh Hussein Al Sawadi, a Parliament Member, killing four of his family members.
