At least seven soldiers were killed and dozens wounded on Wednesday in two missile attacks carried out by Houthi rebels in the northern province of Marib.
According to local sources, the Iran-aligned Houthi militia targeted a military base called Sahn Al Jen and the headquarters of the Saudi-led military coalition in the city of Marib.
This comes after a similar attack that targeted Yemen’s Defense Minister Mohammed Al Almaqhdash last October in the headquarters of the ministry in Marib province.
Last week, Houthi forces fired missiles and drones at the Red Sea port city of al-Mokha, causing deaths and injuries and damaging a hospital run by Doctors without Borders.
The Iranian-backed Houthi rebels have lately escalated their attacks on military bases and civilian objects despite the UN-sponsored truce.
