Houthis Abduct 5 Females, Three of Whom Children, in Hodeidah, AMM
Association of Abductees’ Mothers (AAM) issued today an “urgent statement” confirming that the Iranian-backed militia had kidnapped 5 females, three kids, an elderly woman and an adult, in the port city of Hodeidah.
“As we wait for an impartial and urgent solution to the cause of our children, and the release of all those who have been abducted and forcibly disappeared, the Houthi armed group continues its violations against humanity as well as disrespecting the Yemeni customs in terms of treating and protecting women,” AAM said.
“We, the mothers of the abductees, hold the Houthis responsible for the safety of the kidnapped females. We demand that they be released unconditionally.”
The five females were in a local bus when some members of the militia stopped it at a checkpoint, forced the females out of the bus and into a house used for arresting purposes, according to the Association.
