Head of Bait Bous police department Abo Jaber Alrazehi, a member in the Houthi militia, detained an attorney for doing his job in the rebel -held-capital, Sanaa.
Attorney Abdulfatah al-Washli was accompanied by some police officers to carry out a forced order in favor of his client, whose piece of land was taken over, when Abo Jaber Alrazehi came along with some gunmen and personnel carriers.
” He came with some gunmen, assaulted me and my client, and demanded that the fence be removed,” attorney al-Washli said.
He added, ” they called us bad names, took my car keys and detained me.”
Attorney Wachli called on the Bar Association to take the necessary legal measures to deter the director of Bait Bous police station and his gang, who have always attacked lawyers due to disputes over lands in the region.
There are increasing complaints of repeated attacks on attorneys, lawyers and judicial personnel by some Houthi security officials and their gunmen.
