An old man was killed by a land mine laid by the Houthi militia in Haifan, south Taiz.
Sixty-year-old Abed Mohammed was on his way to receive a food basket that was distributed by the World Food Program ( WFP ) when he stepped on an anti-personnel mine, according to Almashad Alyemeni news site.
Local sources said this was the second incident after a landmine had killed an old woman in the same area in late 2018.
The Iranian-backed rebels have planted unmarked land mines in large swaths of war-torn Yemen, killing and wounding thousands of civilians, including women and children.
The hidden mines have killed as many as 920 civilians and wounded thousands, mine removal experts told the New York Times last month.
