Brokered by Oman, Houthis Release 2 Citizens of Malaysia and Indonesia

 Oman has announced it had succeeded in releasing an Indonesian and a Malaysian citizens who were held captive by the Iranian-backed rebels.

The Omani-run news agency said it _ at the requests of the governments of Malaysia and Indonesia _ brokered  a deal that led to Houthis releasing the two Asian detainees.

The two Asian detainees, according to the official Omani news agency, arrived today in Oman, and will be transferred to their countries later on.

Lately, Oman has already been successful  in releasing a number of foreign detainees to the Houthi militia,  after being asked to mediate by the governments of the countries to which the detainees belonged.
