Yemen’s Defense Minister Meets High-ranked Military Officials in Mareb

Yemen’s Defence Minister Lieutenant-General Mohammad Ali al-Maqdashi met today with hight-ranked military officials in Mareb, west Yemen, according to Saba Net, government-owned news agency.

During the meeting, Yemen’s Defense  Minister discussed the new development  of breaching the ceasefire agreement and military escalation, by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in the port city of Hodeidah.

Mr. Maqdashi stressed  the need to continue work tirelessly  to put an end to the Houthi militia coup, assuring that the internationally recognized government, with tremendous support from the Saudi-led coalition, is determined to restore every spot of state and end the suffering of the Yemeni people.

This development comes after the Houthi rebels refused to cooperate in implementing the UN-brokered deal, in the port city of Hodeidah,  which states the pull back of troops from all ports in the city.
