Newly-appointed Prime Minister Sworn In

The newly-appointed Prime Minister Dr Ma’een Abdulmalik was sworn in Thursday before President Abd-Rabb Mansour Hadi as a successor to Dr. Ahmed Obaid Bin Daghar, who was sacked and referred to investigations by the president.

Following the official ceremonies, President Hadi set out urgent priorities the Prime Minister should focus on, topped by the economy and basic services that should be reinstated for the citizens, besides other tasks.

President Hadi as well stated that the Prime Minister will be empowered, along with other members of the legitimate government to accomplish their jobs in the most effective manner possible.

 The President said” We do realize the challenges and implications created by Houthi militia’s war, however that doesn’t exempt anybody from shouldering his responsibilities and exploring every possible means to do his duties successfully.”

Minister of Local Administration and Chairman of the Higher Relief Committee Abdul Raqib Fath has called on the Arab and UN organizations working in Yemen to support Mukalla district of Hadramout province after it was severely affected by Luban Cyclone in order to alleviate the suffering of the people there.
